Longtime colleagues and friends Lindy Bigliazzi and Kenneth Wilson worked together in the freight equipment business for nearly two decades; in 1996 they became the owners of Freightliner of Hartford. The company’ explosive growth was fueled by their unwavering pledge to satisfy even the most difficult of customers.

By 1998 Freightliner of Hartford was stretching the limits of its offices and service bays. As a result, more than 8,000 square feet of space was added to the main building. One year later, they purchased an existing 6,000-square-foot building with six service bays on a nearby acre parcel of land. Finally in the year 2000, Freightliner of Hartford's largest building was added to the property - a modern 18,000 square-foot sales showroom with office space for Freightliner staff. The dealership now has the capacity to service some 30 vehicles at a time and a customer-friendly showroom to display the latest Freightliner vehicles.

The parts department stocks tens of thousands of items in its inventory - both Freightliner original equipment parts, as well as parts for competitive trucks. Maintenance customers have access to aftermarket parts from more than 150 vendors, including industry giants ArvinMeritor, Eaton, Caterpillar, Cummins and Detroit Diesel Corp.

Freightliner of Hartford maintains corporate fleets for some 60 companies in Connecticut, and for national transportation companies such as Schneider National, J.B. Hunt and Penske Truck Leasing to name a few.
